Ride to Cradle Mountain 2009 - 27th December

Nic and I decided, just because it was there, to ride up to the Cradle Mountain national park. I don't know what moment of insanity led me to this decision as I had only been riding after a 30 year lay off for a few months. We had a few long training rides and, in a fashion that seems impossible given the organisation required for us all to ride to Cradle Mountain now, just got on our bikes with a few supplies in our pockets and rode there and back.

It was a hard ride for us both as any of the unseasoned riders who joined us in 2011 or me in 2014 will attest to. We didn't have any support vehicles etc and had to rely on a tourist to take the following photo.
